Five more Yale rowers added to Olympic rosters

With another five rowers added to Olympic rosters this week, the Yale University program will be represented by nine current and former oarsmen at the competition in Tokyo next month.

It’s the first time since 1956 in Australia that the Bulldogs will have nine rowers at an Olympics, according to

Junior Andrin Gulich and Paul Jacquot (Class of 2018) will row for Switzerland’s Simon Keenan (2015) will row for Australia; junior Jack Lopas will row for New Zealand; and Stephan Riemekasten (2017) will row for Germany.

Jacquot (second seat) and Gulich (stroke), who helped Switzerland finish second in the B final at the European Championships in Varese, Italy, this week, have combined for three national championships with Yale.
